Ingredients

VolumeGrams
1 cup creamy peanut butter—
1 1/2 cups rolled oats134 g
1/3 cup honey112 g
1/4 tsp table salt, if the peanut butter is unsalted1.5 g
1/2 tsp vanilla extract, optional2.3 g

Gram weights use the King Arthur Baking ingredient weight chart; “—” means the ingredient isn’t on the chart, so measure it by volume or count. Measure flour by spooning it into the cup and leveling, or better, weigh it.

Method

  1. Stir the peanut butter, honey, salt and vanilla (if using) until smooth.
  2. Mix in the oats until every flake is coated. If the mixture is too soft to roll, chill 15–20 minutes.
  3. Roll into 1-inch balls. Chill at least 30 minutes to firm up. Store airtight in the fridge up to 1 week, or freeze.

Tips

  • Peanut butter isn't in our weight table yet, so measure it by the cup; oats and honey use King Arthur weights.
  • Natural peanut butter that separates works if you stir it well first; add a spoonful more oats if the mix is sticky.
